2 down 178 to go!

Students: Congratulations on finding your way around the building, meeting new friends and teachers, and bringing an A+ Attitude with you wherever you go! I am so proud of you! I know I am going to love being your teacher this year.
Parents: Today students learned our opening classroom procedures, labeled their English folders and learned where to go for work if they are absent. They also learned a lot about me, Mrs. Boltz! Did I skydive this summer? Do I eat sushi? Do I love mysteries? Ask your child and find out!
Questions for conversation: What did you learn about Mrs. Boltz that surprised you? What do you have in common with Mrs. Boltz? How are the UNO cards used in English? What does an A+ Attitude look like? What are the two learning goals you wrote down in your agenda on page 2 (per Mr. Yohn’s request)?
Coming up: Text features (headings, Table of Contents, Index, etc.) in non-fiction books
